Over 15 years in the mountains
About us
We are Viaferrata.cat, a mountain gear hire service with delivery in Barcelona. We bring via ferrata, canyoning or snow gear to your home, office or hotel, and collect it afterwards.
How it all started
It all started when we got a group of friends together for our first via ferrata. The usual thing was missing: the gear. We had to drive into Barcelona, with all the traffic and parking that involves, and when we got to the shop they didn't have enough gear for everyone. We had to go and find it somewhere else.
That day I thought there had to be a much easier way. That's how Viaferrata.cat was born: via ferrata gear hire delivered to your door, so the kit comes to you and all you have to think about is enjoying the mountains.
We still work the same way today: personal service, well-kept gear and on-time deliveries.
Gear checked on every hire
Your safety depends on your gear. That's why we treat it as if it were our own.
Checked before and after
We check every kit before and after each trip.
Trusted brands
We work with brands such as Ortovox and TSL.
Replaced on time
We retire gear when it's due, without pushing its lifespan.
